Relaxation Circuit, 2015
Interactive participatory installation; electronics, copper, textiles, video

Relaxation Circuit is an experimental interactive installation which recreates and expands on an important historical experiment with bio-circuits and the radiant powers of the human body from the early 20th Century by Leon Ernst Eeman. Relaxation Circuit restages a particular circuit which proposes to treat a variety of conditions including anxiety and stress with one addition, an electronic ‘bio-synthesiser’. This synthesiser creates tones that are modulated by participants, sonifying the body’s healing radiant powers.By re-enacting this esoteric remedy, the artist gives you an insight into early electronic explorations in the healing-arts and speculates about the possibilities of our own implicit energy.
