Video Bell is another piece I have developed for a body of work I call SIGNAUX . Video Bell is an AV switcher that switches between two Audio/Video signals. By shaking the bell a user can mix between multiple sources. The simple device connects and disconnects, disrupts and confuses signals using a series of mercury switches.
For Video Bell - Singing two bells are placed in front of two monitors for a viewer to interact with. I composed a four channel composition of singing mouths singing in a four part harmony. The viewer can mix this composition using the Video Bells. This work was exhibited at TBC Gallery in Melbourne for a group show called Friends.
